The Referral Office (TRO) is a Limited Function Referral Office (LFRO) that creates a unique opportunity for Colorado real estate licensees who wish to stay involved in the industry, but do not wish to be actively engaged in the profession of real estate. A Limited Function Referral Office (LFRO) is recognized through the National Association of Realtors® as a real estate office that carries only that limited aspect of real estate known as the referral business. A LFRO utilizes licensed, but not practicing real estate sales associates who wish to exit the real estate industry while maintaining the ability to receive commissions for referring clients to full-time Realtors. Market conditions over the past year have forced many agents out of the business. It is unfortunate that, until now, no one has addressed the needs of these agents or their clients. By joining our growing team at The Referral Office, real estate licensees can recapture some of the losses they may have incurred as a full-time agent.
We encourage agents to visit our FAQ section to get more information about how the program works. Agents with The Referral Office do not actively list or sell real estate. Because of this, the company is not in competition with conventional real estate brokerage companies, but instead serves as a resource connecting customers and clients of not practicing agents with full-service brokerages. |
